Nexstra, Inc. Tom Shaffer

President

Tom Shaffer brings more than thirty years experience in software development and general management to his role as President of Nexstra. Before founding Nexstra in 2002, Shaffer was Vice President of Engineering at TechPoint Solutions, a systems integrator that developed advanced wireless solutions for real-time interaction with ERP systems.

Prior to TechPoint Solutions, Shaffer was Senior Director of Engineering for Intraware (acquired by Flexera), the market leader in Electronic Software Distribution and Management (ESDM). At Intraware, he directed several development teams with more than fifty engineers and contractors. Before Intraware, he held a variety of management and software development positions at Premenos (now Innovis), Booz Allen Hamilton, and Northrop-Grumman. Shaffer holds an MBA from St. Mary’s College and a BA in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.

Nexstra, Inc. David Lee

Chief Technology Officer

David Lee directs Nexstra’s technical strategy and overall architecture. Lee has been responsible for the core architecture and design of Nexstra’s technologies in a variety of critical areas, including web store fronts, payment processing, integration with client systems, on demand production and workflow management, and integration with supplier systems.

Prior to Nexstra, Lee was President of DAL Enterprises, a software development consulting firm serving leading enterprise software vendors such as ePocractes, ePiphany, RightPoint and Centura Software. At DAL, Lee developed advanced solutions in the areas of ecommerce, messaging, multiprocessor performance enhancements, and server side programming. Before DAL, Lee worked for IBM and Sun Microsystems.

Nexstra, Inc. Chuck Fralick

Chief Financial Officer

Chuck Fralick has been with Nexstra from almost the beginning – employee number three. Chuck is responsible for finance, human resources, day-to-day operations, and making sure the company has an adequate supply of wine. He has been instrumental in Nexstra’s growth and success almost from day one.

Prior to joining Nexstra, Chuck was the founder of a technical recruiting firm which he led for over a decade. Prior to this, Chuck held various management positions at retail firms. Chuck graduated from Drake University with a degree in Business Administration.

Nexstra, Inc. Ed Lohmann

Vice President of Sales

Ed Lohmann leads Nexstra’s sales and marketing efforts. Energetic, scrappy, hard-working, strategic marketing, branding, advertising and digital marketing thought-leader best defines Eddie Lohmann’s 20+ years of experience in business. With a varied and extensive marketing background, Ed has served on the ad agency, the media, the client, the consulting and business management association sides of marketing. Lohmann’s critical roles have been to drive strategy, best position companies, create new product ideas, advance branding, most recently, integrate digital marketing programs that accelerate revenues and drive bottom-line results.

Ed is a graduate of Michigan State University and holds a B.A. in Communication, with an Advertising Emphasis. For three years in college, Lohmann also broadcast the perennially-ranked, Spartan ice hockey team on television. Today, in his limited spare time, he can still be found playing ice hockey, jogging, training in martial arts or enjoying a leisurely golf round.
